Reece, my three year old, has a large love for little things. She loves having lots of little toys and figures surrounding her at all times, and often has upwards of 10-15 in her purses at a time. She loves little figures, dolls, and finger puppets. Her age is one where her imagination is really starting to take off, and it's fun to listen to the little conversations she has going with and between all of her little pals.
We recently had the opportunity to review Margaret and Halley's Shop Play Set. The entire Calico Critters line is really cute. They seem kind of vintage to me, and look like they could be straight out of a Jan Bret book.

The little critters are the perfect size for Reece, with her love of small figures. The set comes with a mommy bear and a baby bear, which is also perfect for Reece right now. She is obsessed with babies since she knows she's got a baby sister on the way, and she often looks at groups of things of three in a set of mommy, daddy, and baby (like the three fish in our fish tank). It's been cute to see how she mimics behavior that she's observed between mothers and babies.
This is a darling little toy set that is perfect for fostering the imagination of your child. There are lots of other sets to choose from, so it would be a fun item to grow a collection of over time. I can only imagine how much this would expand Reece's - and soon Remi's - abilities to imagine and make believe.
I was provided with this toy set through Growing Tree Toys and Blogtricity. No other compensation was given, and all opinions and views expressed are my own.
